Hello, and welcome to my website, my name is Kate Ingleby-Lewis.
I am first and foremost a mum to 5 children, a wife to my husband Jack and I have a passion for helping people.
My passion for fitness began in 2008 when my dad challenged me to run a marathon. I completed the Berlin marathon and was hooked. Before this I was an unfit, unhealthy and unhappy Beauty therapist. I found that exercise would make me feel better, it gave me more energy, I began to feel happier in my skin, my anxiety improved and I wanted to share these benefits with everyone! I then gained my qualifications in Fitness instructing, Personal training, Exercise to music, Pilates, Pre and post natal fitness, Spin, Kettlebell’s and Sports massage, and more
Roll on 5 years, I am now running a gym with my husband, 5 kids to look after, 25+ classes per week, my body broke. I was then diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and went from being an active, fit and healthy 35 year old to being barely able to get out of bed. At the time we had a yoga instructor teaching at our gym, and she convinced me to give yoga a try. My first class did not go well, I couldn’t switch off, I wasn’t flexible and everything hurt! But…. I carried on, and each week it would get easier, I’d learn to switch off a little more each time, I learnt it didn’t matter that I wasn’t flexible, it felt so good to move. Slowly I was finding myself again. In 2016 I undertook my 200 hour Yoga teacher training and haven’t looked back. Since then I have gained qualifications in Yoga Trapeze, Children’s Yoga, Teen Yoga, Pregnancy Yoga, Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Hypnotherapy, Reiki and more recently Menopause Yoga, Menopause coaching and nutrition, exercise in Menopause, Menopause Pilates.
I am always learning and finding new ways to help other people, which is why I set up Samprati. My mission is to make exercise and yoga accessible to everyone at all stages of life.
If you would like an informal chat then don’t hesitate to get in touch. I look forward to hearing from you.
Love and light
